01. History

The Taiwan (formerly Taipei) Foreign Correspondents’ Club (台灣外國記者會) was established in 1998 to assist foreign correspondents and their associates in Taiwan in news gathering by organising timely events, support and strengthen the correspondent community and represent their interests by giving them a voice in the community.

02. members

The TFCC includes members from all major foreign news media outlets based in Taipei. The club has more than 140 members, including correspondents for foreign news organisations, as well as associate members, i.e. journalists from the local press and freelancers, trade office representatives, and others from the business community and government.

03. events

The club organizes regular briefings and receptions with Taiwanese officials, politicians, business leaders, analysts and academics as well as purely social events for members and guests.
