The Taiwan Foreign Correspondents’ Club will be hosting Taiwan’s new Sports Minister Lee Yang for an exclusive briefing on Monday, October 13. Lee is a dual Olympic gold medalist and the youngest person ever appointed as a cabinet-level minister in the country.
Registration is mandatory and will close on October 7 at noon or once maximum capacity is reached.
The Ministry of Sports was inaugurated last month, with the aim of promoting equal opportunity, social inclusion and sustainable development through athletic activities, while also enhancing Taiwan’s presence and participation on the world stage.

Please arrive before 1.40pm to allow time for registration.
Venue: Da’an District, Taipei (Address will be shared with registered attendees one day prior to the event)
Language: Mandarin Chinese with simultaneous English interpretation
Rules: On the record; No live streaming. Please indicate if you wish to take video during the event. We will designate a space inside the venue for video journalists. If you have camera equipment, please plan to arrive early.
Minister Lee will deliver opening remarks, followed by a Q&A session. The conversation will be moderated by TFCC Chair Thompson Chau.
While this is an event for all members, please be aware that only Correspondent Members will be able to ask questions.
