
On October 2 (Friday), the Taiwan Foreign Correspondents’ Club will host a forum and reception in the southern powerhouse of Kaohsiung.

Background:
Traditionally known for heavy industrial manufacturing, southern Taiwan has reinvented its economy around high-value technology and a maritime defense and trade ecosystem. Kaohsiung is home to the country’s biggest port and a growing maritime and shipbuilding hub. The forum seeks to connect members with industry, security, and policy and academia representatives in the region, and facilitate international understanding of southern Taiwan.
