For the next installment of our monthly TFCCxATJ Talk Series on Wednesday, September 17, the Association of Taiwan Journalists has invited researcher and author Joseph Wen. His new book “OSINT on the PLA:How to Track China’s Military Activities Using Open-Source Intelligence” (請支援搜尋!你也可以用公開資訊破解共軍行動!) aims to inspire journalists, analysts, and the public alike to make better use of open-source intelligence (OSINT) in understanding the Chinese military.

Wen is the creator of the widely used “PLA Bases and Facilities” map and has long shared his expertise in applying OSINT techniques to track the activities of the People’s Liberation Army. At this event, he will discuss the practical applications of OSINT in uncovering Chinese military movements and reflect on the broader implications for Taiwan and the region.
