Thursday, April 19, 6:30-9pm
Mark your calendars! We will hold our Annual General Meeting on Thursday April 19th, during which we will hold elections for your next TFCC Steering Committee, as well as provide a review of the past year and our current membership and treasury situation. It is also a good opportunity to give some feedback and ideas for the club in the coming year.
Nominations for the 2018-19 Committee are NOW OPEN. TFCC members can run for the following positions:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Treasurer
4. Membership Chair
5. Activities Chair
DETAILS FOR NOMINATIONS: The first three positions must be voted for and filled by Correspondent members, while the the last two positions are open to all members, and all members can vote.
Each candidate will need to have a nominator and a seconder, both of whom have to be current members. Nominations can be made at the meeting, but any written nominations must be sent to the Returning Officer Jane Rickards at jselbyr@yahoo.com by Tuesday April 17th. The nominator and seconder must indicate if the candidate nominated has agreed to stand.
Valid nominations received by the Returning Officer by the deadline are eligible to receive proxy votes (by email). Nominations received after this time will not be eligible for proxy votes, but are still eligible to receive votes during the AGM.
REMINDER FOR MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: Please take note that you must be a member to vote and attend at the AGM. If you would like to pay for your 2018 dues at the AGM, please arrive before 7pm so we can take care of that before starting the meeting.
Annual dues for 2016 are NT$3,000 for individuals and NT$10,000 for corporates. Corporate members are entitled to send no more than 3 representatives from their organization to the AGM. Please email info@taiwanfcc.org for instructions on how to pay.
Also write to us if you have queries about any of the positions or your membership status. See you then!
Best,
Your Committee
