The Taiwan Foreign Correspondents’ Club (TFCC) hosted a media briefing with DPP caucus chair and “father of the house” Ker Chien-ming.
The TFCC stands in solidarity with our Taiwanese colleagues and shares the concerns raised by the Association of Taiwan Journalists in a statement published on May 17.
On Saturday, May 18, TFCC will hold a special Happy Hour just two nights before Taiwan’s presidential inauguration.
On May 17 (Friday), the International Crisis Group, the Association of Taiwan Journalists and the Taiwan Foreign Correspondents’ Club will be co-hosting a panel discussion exploring the political and security situation in and around the Taiwan Strait and how the unofficial relationships between Taiwan and key regional actors may evolve under a new Taiwanese administration.
On May 10th, the Taiwan Foreign Correspondents’ Club hosted the awards ceremony of the “2024 Human Rights Press Awards in Asia” in Taipei, with Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen, Elaine Pearson of Human Rights Watch and Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu as guests of honor.
